How to setup AAFC email

This guide will show you show you how to connect your PC or mobile device to the CadetNet email system. This will allow you to utilise the full Exchange Services available such as Calendar, Contacts, and Reminders as well as email. It is recommended that you use the Microsoft Outlook App where possible.

Your Cadetnet ID and email alias
You can check your Email Alias and ID in CEA under My Details > Account Info. Your email address will be {alias}@cadetnet.gov.au or {alias}@airforcecadets.gov.au. You may also require your CadetNet ID for the setup instructions below.

Setup on a Device 
In most cases, if using the Microsoft Outlook App, the setup will involve selecting “Microsoft Exchange Account” and configuring the following settings: 

Email Address

{CadetNetID}@cadetnet.gov.au
PasswordYour CadetNet password
Account / Username{CadetNetID} or {CadetNetID}@cadetnet.gov.au
DomainCADETNET
Mail serverapps.cadetnet.gov.au
Note: POP3/SMTP/IMAP is not available.
Your email address may appear in your app as @cadetnet.gov.au, but it will send all your emails with your @airforcecadets.gov.au address.
